Dennis Winsor

Dennis Winsor was involved in the salvage of the N2980 from Loch Ness in 1985. Having spent a lifetime working at Brooklands and being involved in many projects, he always speaks fondly of those times and his memories.

Dennis worked for Vickers from leaving school. As a member of the Vintage Aircraft Flying Association he was one of a dozen people in Elmbridge who founded Brooklands museum, and it was at this formative time that the Loch Ness Wellington was found. The two were natural bedfellows.

Now aged 90, his grandchildren made contact with us and send us this file of slides describing in good picture detail the 1985 raising. Here it is.
